Kids to love to build things! We witness this at every Professor Qwbli’s program, camp or event, as they ALWAYS gravitate to the IKOS, Keva Structures and K’NEX. Observing and experiencing their curiosity to build led us to create Exploring Simple Machines with Professor Qwbli’s.
Through play and exploration students discover the wonder of physical science and discover how six simple machines helped shape the world around us and have made our lives easier by doing more with less.
They will discover that the same machines and principles ancient engineers used to build the pyramids are employed by today’s engineers to construct more creative tools, devices, equipment, structures and products of modern convenience, as well as such as medical devices, mountain bikes, houses, bridges, roller coasters and skyscrapers.
Most importantly, Exploring Simple Machines with Professor Qwbli’s will help create a better connection and understand to the world around us. It develops critical 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, flexibility, resourcefulness, perseverance, and grit
Through hands-on practical problem solving, interdisciplinary learning and the development of transferable skills, your child can imagine a world of boundless opportunities.
* This engineering curriculum meets Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
* Exploring Simple Machines with Professor Qwbli’s is an Area 406 program. Area 406 - Northern Michigan’s Tinkerarium is coming to Professor Qwbli’s this winter.
